Bush Ballads & Bulldust

Marc Glasby

The Australian bush ballad has been around since the early days of white settlement and although it probably saw its heyday in the times of Lawson and Paterson, it still remains an important part of Australian culture today.

I have been fortunate enough to travel around Australia for a number of years now and during that time I have written a number of bush ballads, historical, factual and fictional about the wonderful country we live in.

As well as writing some ballads about Australia I have also taken a number of photographs and so in this site I have combined the two in the hope of providing a better backdrop for the words.

This site is purely a hobby site and doesn't have much in the way of advanced web design. If you would like to visit our other site, all about Western Australia then you can check it out at
Now and Then

Meanwhile I hope you enjoy at least a few of the ballads presented here. At present there is not much to see but I will add to this site as time allows.
