Location details:

Point Road Campsite. Rough and rocky access from both ends. 4x4 only. Access from both Conto Campground (via the Cape Track) or from Cave Road via Boranup Road. Access from Cape track is slightly easier but you miss out on the (slow but spectacular) drive through the forest this way.

 

 

 

BORANUP

Location details:

Boranup Camp. 8Km NW of Karridale off Caves Road / Boranup Drive (South end).  Suitable only for tents and camper trailers.

 

 

CONTO

Location details:

 

Access Via Caves Road. / Conto Road. 18Km south west of Margaret River. Small vans and campers only. 4 different campsites. Davies Drive – small bays. Hamelin Hollow – small to medium bays. Whistler Way – small, medium and large sites. Whalers Cove – small sites.

 

 

 

 


 

CHAPMAN POOL

Location details:

 

Chapman Pool is now signposted as Warren Glen. Limited space, not suitable for large vehicles.  Turn east into Warner Glen Road. from the Bussell Highway and keep going until you see the campsite sign post on the right hand side of the road.

 

 


 

CANEBRAKE POOL

Location details:

 

South west of Busselton or north east of Margaret River. Located in forest setting. Access is easier from Margaret River  No camping during burn off, look for signs. Osmington and Canebrake Road. Not really for big rigs as pull in sites are too small. The pool is beautiful and is an excellent place to swim. Canebrake Road is unsealed.

 

 

 

 


 

ALEXANDRA BRIDGE

Restrictions: Technically a 30day time limit applies.

 

Location details:

 

North east of Augusta via Brockman Highway. Outside cold shower, fire wood. Busy during holidays and noisy on weekends but a nice spot.

 

 

 

 


 

HUTT POOL

Warnings: Access from the south side is ROUGH. DO NOT swim upstream of the causeway.

 

Restrictions: No dogs.

 

Location details:

 

Southern access from Brockman Highway and Great North Road. (should be called Old North Track!) Access from the south is pretty rough and probably best for 4x4. Northern Access via Denny Road (Unsealed and corrugated but 2wd passable). Sites are VERY limited and really only suitable for tents or a campervan could sit in the one near the river.

 

 

 

 


 

ROSA POOL

Location details:

 

Northern access: Turn off south of Wichcliffe on Bussel Highway then East at Davis Road, south at Rosa Glen Road at T junction. 2.5Km to farm track leading west (just after sealed road ends). First area is small but second about 200m further on is bigger. 90 degree corner coming in rules out caravans or big rigs.

 

 

 

 


 

SUE'S BRIDGE

Location details:

There is a campsite on the south bank of the river at Sues Bridge. Small caravans may be ok at this site. Sealed access via Brockman Highway. 40Km NE of Karridale. Camping has now been moved back away from the river. CALM site.

 

 

 

 


 

OTHER SITES

 

There are a number of excellent bush campsites along the river in the Sues Bridge area. Most are only accessible by 4wd and tracks are not suitable for caravans. Explore the area and push towards the river from the gravel road. (Denny Road) running along the N bank. We have seen some great secluded spots here.

7 laybys between Margaret River and Augusta on the Bussell Highway. The only one suitable for an overnight stop is 20Km S of Margaret River.

 

Unmarked RA 3Km W of Alexandra Bridge campsite (west of the bridge). Large flat area suitable for motorhomes and caravans on the north side of the road.
