Forestview Farm Stay | Bridgetown

Forestview Farm Stay is located just five minutes drive from the heart of Bridgetown and offers B&B style accommodation on a picturesque property overlooking a tranquil valley and dam.

The accommodation is ideal for families as the bedrooms and bathroom are together in one section of the property, which although connected to the main house, give a sense of privacy for guests.

It is an 11 acre working hobby farm with an orchard, vegetable gardens and some livestock.

The owners, Anita and Attilio (Til) Iuretigh, moved to Bridgetown in 1997 and set about transforming the farm, that was fairly basic when they took over.

Now. there is an olive grove, orchard and organically grown seasonal vegetables.

The olive grove contains 45 Kalamata and Manzanillo trees. Most olives are pressed to make superb olive oil and the remainder are processed and become a delicious ingredient in cooked meals and an accompanyment to wine, chesse and crackers. Don't forget to ask Anita about the olive products that are available for purchase.

Sheep, alpacas, and bees complete the farm's complement of residents, that is, if you don't count the numerous birds that visit the garden.

The avian visitors include parrots, rare cockatoos, finches, wrens, honeyeaters, robins, wagtails, fantails, black-headed cuckoo shrike and many more.

Enjoy traditional country hospitality in a modern rammed earth home where you can just relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings between your explorations of the beautiful countryside that surrounds Bridgetown.

Forestview is part of the organic farm trail in the Blackwood River Valley and you can pick your own chemical free fruit and veg or just sit on the veranda and watch the bird life.

Breakfast is traditional English style but can be varied to suit visitor's requirements and if you would prefer to dine in at dinner time then have a chat with Anita to arrange your meal. (*)

Room facilities include Tea/Coffee maker, Hairdryer, Iron, TV, DVD Player, Fan, Wardrobe/Closet, Alarm clock, Heating, Towels and Linen.

If you are booking both rooms (ideal for families) then your toilet/bathroom will be exclusive but if you are booking just one room these facilities may be shared.

The bathroom facilities include, Bathtub or shower, Shampoo, Conditioner, Body soap, Shower cap, Free toiletries,

Other facilities include, Balcony, Refrigerator, Shared outdoor Barbecue, Outdoor dining area.

Also feel free to ask about, board games/puzzles, books, DVDs or music for children,

The rooms are located on the ground floor and for your convenience, access is via your own private entrance. Free onsite parking is also included.

If you are new to the area and are looking for things to see and do, then you can select from attractions such as, Greenbushes historical town, Whitaker's Timber Mill, Bridgedale, Memorial Park, Jigsaw Gallery, Sutton's Lookout, Blackwood River Park, Jarrah Park or just explore the surrounding forests where there are a number of walk trails and 4x4 tracks.

There are also local products to try such as cider and beer from the Cidery in town. There are also local wines and all sorts of great farm produce to purchase.

Bridgetown is a delightful place to visit at any time of the year but of course, spring is when you will see most of the amazing native wildflowers in bloom.

If you are looking for a great place to base yourself while you explore everything the area has to offer, then you won't do better than Forestview Farm Stay.
