Description
Located about
half way between Karratha and
Carnarvon, 22 Km south east of the old
Barradale
roadhouse. It is a working station that welcomes visitors and accommodation
is available. Nyang can be a very hot place during summer and in 1998 it recorded the highest February temperature on record (at that time) when it reached 49.4C. The highest temperature ever recorded in Australia (that we know of) was a massive 53.1C in Cloncurry Queensland in January 1889.
