Lake McDermott is yet another excellent campsite provided in the shire of Bencubbin.
It is only a few kilometres east of town and just north of the Koorda - Bullfinch Road.
It is a free campsite but there is a donation box to help pay for the maintenance of facilities so it is a good idea to drop some money in
if you stay overnight.
There are currently no toilets at this site but it is only a short drive to either town or to Marshall Rock where toilets are available.
Pets are allowed at this site and when water levels are high enough, it is a waterskiing area.
Facilities at the site include a large shelter, seats and tables plus wood fired BBQs and boat launching from the beach area.
Driving on past the shelter will bring you to a slightly larger area where it would be possible to camp.
